A FINE AND RARE UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND COPPER-RED DECORATED INSCRIBED BRUSHPOT
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The vessel is in cylindrical form decorated around the outside with text of the 'Eulogy on the Wise Emperor Finding Virtuous Officials', in kaishu, standard script, ending with a four-character seal in copper-red reading Xi Chao Chuan Gu, The Court of Kangxi Transmitting Antiquity, the recessed base bearing the nianhao (tiny glaze flake)
