Formed in lozenge shape and raised on three tapering legs issuing from lion-masks, the vessel is decorated with stylised ruyi on pedestals above each leg, surrounded by elaborate leafy scrolls bearing lotus blooms, the rim with a pendent ruyi band, the sides of the cover further decorated with scrolling lotus, the upper register with a composite floral scroll encircling the gilt bronze finial decorated with lotus scrolls in relief
