The first in the form of a book, engraved with flowers, scrolls and strap work, the hinged cover also engraved with a lozenge-of-arms, marked on interior and cover--3¾in. (9.5cm.) long (2oz.10dwt., 86gr.); the second with maker's mark of JT, Birmingham, 1839, oblong base with presentation inscription within engine-turned border, the sides similarly engine-turned, the hinged cover with chased floral rim, mounted with mother-of-pearl plaque carved with allegorical figures and coat-of-arms for the Oddfellows of Manchester Unity, marked on interior--3¼in.
