Oblong, on spreading rectangular bases chased with gadrooning, with mid-band and two tied reeded handles issuing from lion's heads, the gadrooned rims with shells and acanthus corner decoration, the stepped covers with gadrooning surmounted by cast heraldic crest griffin finials, engraved each side with a coat-of-arms against ermine mantling, fully marked--length over handles 8 1/2in. (21.6cm.)
