Vina Ardanza Reserva--Vintage 1989 Rioja. La Rioja Alta Tasting note: Very much in the traditional Ardanza line. The colour is dark 'big-cherry' red, clean with good depth, the first sign of a well structured wine. At the start of the tasting, there's a fragrant, silky, enveloping aroma with spicy notes. The wine's potent character is shown at the first sip, there's also depth and vigourousness, with the long, pleasant finish of a full-bodied wine.
