William de Courcey Prideaux's patents No. 3560 of 1893 and 22653 of 1914 were specifically designed to allow for the simultaneous loading of all the chambers of hinged-frame or swing-out cylinder revolvers. In this ingenious design, spring-steel tongues grip the cartridges which are then loaded into the cylinder by pushing forward the slotted base-plate
