A VICTORIAN FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1843, comprising teapot, long neck coffee pot, gilt lined two handled sugar basin and cream jug, each lobed inverted pear shaped, on four foliate headed corkscrew supports, the sides chased and engraved with vertical flowering plants, one lobe with vacant shaped oval cartouche, with applied reeded rim, with flowers at intervals, the pots with part foliate and reeded scroll spout and handle, the hinged low domed cover topped by flower bouquet finial--the coffee pot 9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, gross weight 78oz. (4)
