The waisted case with scroll sides trailing a berried laurel swag, with displayed double-headed eagle cresting, the sides with silk backed pierced sound frets and the front with open panelling, the white enamel Roman convex dial with Arabic five minutes and signed HUBERT A PARIS in the centre, with slow/fast adjustment through 60, pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with later anchor escapement and silk suspension, countwheel strike on bell, with repeat signature to the backplate; case stamped No. 608 to the top -- 17in. (45cm.) high
