A Victorian mahogany longcase clock, mid 19th century
The hood with swan neck pediment and outset ringed and double baluster columns with ormolu foliate capitals, the trunk with chevron bands above and crossbanding below a short trunk door with wavy arch top, above line inlaid plinth with line inlaid and chamfered sides, raised on outswept feet and with wavy skirting, the 14in. white dial with painted floral spandrels and scene of a woman raking a field to the arch, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, pinned directly to the dial -- 95in. (243cm.) high
