A SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, 1869, no. 700, comprising: two teapots, a long necked coffee pot, a two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, with frosted finish, each pear shaped on rim foot, with mid band composed of engraved vermicelli band, bordered by flat chased bellflowers, twice centering oval cartouche, one monogrammed, within stylized foliate wreath, with loop handle, the pots with highly upraised spout part chased with stylized leaves and topped by paterae, with applied geometric, then beaded rim, with hinged slightly raised cover flat chased with lotus band and topped by baluster finial--the coffee pot 8¼in. high, gross weight 93oz.
