An early George III inkstand
of rounded oblong form with two pen depressions, a moulded border and paw feet, fitted with three square pierced galleries, two mounted faceted glass inkbottles, (one with a later collar), the central gallery fitted with box section and taperstick, cover with snuffer, by R.Emes & E.Barnard 1809, the inkstand by William Plummer, 1760, (repairs) - 26cm x 17cm, 24.5oz.
