in the Carolean style, the padded back within a foliate-carved surround surmounted by a pair of griffins supporting a shield and flanked by spiral-carved uprights, the seat upholstered in woollen needlework, on block and turned legs joined by turned stretchers, minor damage and old repairs; and a Georgian style stained beech stool, with a similarly upholstered seat, on cabriole legs and claw and ball feet -- 20in.
