A TURQUOISE 'FAIENCE' AMULET OF AN UNDULATING COBRA, NEHEBKA
LATE PERIOD/EARLY PTOLEMAIC, CIRCA 6TH-3RD CENTURY B.C.
With incised pattern down its front, suspension loop on its back; a glazed composition wedjat-eye amulet; the upper part of a Harpocrates figure holding a wedjat-eye, mounted, 6th-3rd Century B.C., 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) high max.; and a steatite cartouche-shaped stamp seal of Amun, deeply cut with seated figure of the god wearing double plumes, holding a was-sceptre (dominion), uraeus behind, "Amun" written above, with double lotiform handle, late New Kingdom/Dynasty XXV, circa 1100-700 B.C.
