With single handle, the body with panel decorated with a figure of the striding goddess Athena wearing aegis and high crested helmet, holding a large circular shield with device and brandishing a spear, her attribute an owl perched on a scrolling branch in front, friezes of ivy-leaves and linked staggered dots above, chequerboard below the rim, details incised and in added purple, repaired
