A handwritten and drawn "announcement" by John Lennon. The black marker artwork was originally taped to a hallway wall on the 17th floor of the Queen Liz Hotel in Montreal, Canada. Suite 1742 was the site of the 1969 "Bed In For Peace" and, the location where John Lennon recorded "Give Peace A Chance." Taped near the 17th floor elevators, the sign was intended to direct members of the Press. Inscribed, drawn and signed WE THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY NAME THIS ROOM 1742 PEACE BAG!; 1742 PEACE ROOM COME IN; signed along the side John Lennon, and Yoko Ono, along with two caricatures of John Lennon and Yoko Ono--24 3/4 x 30 in.--framed. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
