Tipped in at front is an autograph letter signed from Galsworthy to Sir Robert Hudson, Wingstone, Manaton, Devon, 21 March 1915, 1 page, 4to, sending this manuscript for a charity function: "...I send you the original manuscript of my story 'Memories' -- Commemoration of my dog [the story is actually the "reminiscences" of the Galsworthys' dog]. 'Memories' appeared first in my book The Inn of Tranquillity, 1912; and was issued separately, illustrated by Maud Earl, at Xmas 1914.
