PROPERTY OF A TRUE GOURMET
Removed from a temperature-controlled cellar
Warre--Vintage 1963
Plain wax seal, some damaged (wax tends to become friable and chips easily, this is no problem); white "splash" on bottle, to indicate which side up when binning; Christie's London slip labels; fully branded cork: "Warre 1963"
This port was bottled, as was customary at the time, by an English wine merchant and purchased by a private customer for binning in a conventional country house cellar, hence the white "splash" and lack of labels, which would deteriorate in cool damp conditions
