Well carved as a partially rolled hanging scroll with ivory scroll ends and hanging cord carved in low relief on the smooth upper mounting folded over and visible on the underside, the 'painting' rendered in low relief with a legendary figure, semi-clad and climbing over a fence under pine boughs, signed on the reverse, himotoshi formed of the loops made by the folded scroll--1 1/2 in. (3.8 in.) long, edge chip
