A Japanese onlaid bronze ceramic teapot
of ovoid shape with double bamboo stem moulded handle and flat cover with seated frog finial, the stippled ground body applied in gilt and decorated in high relief with leafy bamboo stalks, the reverse with a spray of slender leaves and flowers -- 7.5/8in. (19.3cm) high, impressed sealmark, 19th Century, (small chip restored to spout).
