Maker's mark of Samuel Kirk & Son, Baltimore, 1846-1861
Comprising coffee pot, teapot, water pitcher and waste bowl; each vase-shaped on a circular foot, repouss and chased all over with architectural scenes amid dense foliage and flowers, with scroll foliate-capped spouts, the scroll handles with ivory insulators and foliage joins, the hinged domed cover surmounted by a finial formed as a grape bunch and leaves, the coffee pot, teapot, and waste bowl with a cartouche on one side engraved with a crest over monogram MMA, the water pitcher with a cartouche on front engraved with initial A, marked under bases, the water pitcher apparently unmarked
The coffee pot 13in. high; gross weight 108oz.
