The rectangular clock with brass mounts and an enamelled circular dial inscribed Stiennon Paris above a bronze drapery swag inscribed First in War First in Peace/first in the Hearts of his/Country men surmounted by a shielded spreadwinged eagle grasping an arrow and olive branch over a plinth inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM, flanked by a standing figure of Washington holding a scroll in his right hand and a sword in his left, all on a rectangular base with an ormolu mount centering a female head, on toupie feet
