The present composition is based on the painting by Canaletto sold at Sotheby's, London, Dec. 4, 1997, lot 97 (one of a pair), with some differences to the right foreground figures.

Accompanied by a photocopy of a photocertificate from Professor Egidio Martini suggesting an attribution to Bernardino Bison.
