A Viennese silver-gilt and enamel miniature salon suite
In Louis XV Style, Circa 1870
Comprising a cylinder bureau musical box and a pair of fauteuils, each fitted with a timepiece; the bureau surmounted by a circular enamel dial, the cylinder movement of Swiss bar construction, the upper structure concealing a small compartment, flanked to each side by a female torch-bearer, opening to reveal two ink wells and two apertures, centred by a calendar, above a garland decorated frieze, the musical movement contained within the base, on four caryatid monopodiae; each fauteuil centred by a circular enamel dial, one inscribed Conrad Hekel à Vienne/No. 406 on the movement, one is stamped by Rudolf Linker
