Corporal Peter Meldrum Ovenstone, aged 22 years, who was serving with the 14th (Fife and Forfar Yeomanry) Battalion, Black Watch, was killed in action on 6.11.1917 during the advance on Tel-es-Sheria, Palestine and is buried in Beersheba War Cemetery.
