The Reverend Hugh Brown, O.B.E., a Presbyterian Minister, served in France and Flanders from February 1917 until November 1918. Granted the rank of Captain on the R.A.R.O. List in December 1925, he was recalled for service in the 1939-45 War as a Chaplain 4th Class.
