The brass eagle finial above a circular glazed dial door with brass bezel enclosing a white-painted dial face with a Roman numeral chapter ring signed "Aaron Willard/Boston" over a tapering throat with conforming églomisé panel surrounded by spiral beading flanked by brass openwork scrolled spandrels above a rectangular églomisé box base decorated with a Maritime scene within a spiral beaded frame over spherules and fluted bracket
