An Empire ormolu mantel clock
Modelled with the figure of a charioteer drawing Minerva shown standing holding up her shield, the front of the chariot modelled as a lion, the dial set within the chariot wheel with white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed Henry A Donay. The rectangular plinth set with fasces to the angles, the front applied with a relief mount of an eagle with outstreched wings perched upon a thunderbolt flanked by ribboned wreaths and sword mounts, the twin train movement with countwheel strike on a bell and silk suspension
