A Chinese four-fold silk screen, 18th century
Painted with panels depicting vases of flowers, precious objects, vessels, bowls of fruit, scrolls and albums, on simulated cabinets, the reverse depicting figures before a walled entrance and buildings beside deer, a procession of further figures and an equestrian official, another with two figures with a hound crossing a rocky bridge below a building, and a further panel with two figures leading horses, beside a bridge overlooking fishermen in rocky river landscapes, between simulated carved wooden panels depicting coiled dragons, carved giltwood frames depicting bands of flowerheads
