Lot Essay

Through The Three Horses, Lee Man Fong is paying homage to the Chinese classical masters of horse painting. The composition of the present lot is reminiscent of the work of the Tang masters who depicted horses in their most elegant and gracious forms. Decorated with a corner of foliage, the mood of tranquillity was very much prevalent in the present lot.
