A GEORGE II STYLE BLACK, POLYCHROME AND GILT-JAPANNED KNEEHOLE DESK
Late 19th Century
The incurved rectangular top decorated with a land and seascape and various figures with a reserved diaper border and scalloped edge, above a central frieze drawer, over a shaped kneehole flanked by two graduated drawers decorated with landscape vignettes, the sides and back similarly decorated, on shell-carved cabriole legs with pad feet, the reverse decorated, MADE IN ENGLAND stamped.
