A PAIR OF MID-VICTORIAN MAHOGANY AND MARQUETRY SIDE CHAIRS
Circa 1870
Each crestrail inlaid with garlands above a gothicized pierced splat formed by alternating columnettes and trefoil arches, the overstuffed and close nailed seats upholstered with brown cross-hatched silk, above tapering turned legs on porcelain casters, the rear legs lacking casters, the front casters impressed C&O PATENT, inscribed with yellow pencil 8860 (2)
