Late 18th Century
The padded shield-shaped back and bowed seat covered in striped silk, with downswept padded arms, the frame with simulated painted fluting on square tapering legs and shaped feet, redecorated, with the white grease pencil inscription H 9855

The Estate of Marc Haas, sold in these Rooms, 2 February 1991, lot 258 ($8,800).
