The later oval plate within a crossbanded surround set between garland-painted serpentine uprights, above a crossbanded rectangular top with bowed front centered by an oval scene of Venus and Cupid at a fountain in an idyllic landscape, above three panelled frieze drawers, each painted with garlands and flanked by oval female busts, on bracket feet, line inlaid overall, bearing a label inscribed Di S/50th St./F986/3557/81506 and inscribed F986 twice and 1945/422
