lithograph, 1944, on buff wove paper, signed in pencil, inscribed 'épreuve d'essai', a trial proof (the edition was 10 plus 6 artist's proofs; there was also the unsigned book edition of 60), with full margins, a soft diagonal crease at the tip of the bottom right margin corner, occasional pale foxing and minor surface soiling on the reverse, otherwise in good condition
