(29.5cm) long, circa 1550, signed Hirakuni; and a wakizashi with silk bound shagreen hilt, gilt nanako fuchi-kashira decorated with a figure on horseback, menuki modelled as fruitsprays, oval iron tsuba pierced with maple and lotus leaves, shagreen covered wood scabbard, the blade -- 16in.
