A German walnut, burr-walnut and fruitwood marquetry commode, mid 18th century
Probably Mainz, the serpentine-fronted top above three long shaped drawers, inlaid with three panels each depicting animals running, foliate scrolls, hunting scenes and one panel with a couple, the angles with semi-detached scrolled pilasters, the sides panelled with a foliate spray, and on a moulded plinth on turned bun feet
