Lot Essay

Davos is the highest town in Europe (1,560m), and began as an international resort in 1860 when Dr Alexander Spengler opened his first Tuberculosis clinic. Davos had one of the largest natural ice rinks and as early as 1890 all forms of ice skating were practised.
