FROM A MODEL BY MARCEL GUIRAUD-RIVIERE, 1920s
modelled as a harelequin clown, striding forth wearing long mottled blue cape, mask and chequered costume, on a mottled brown glazed rectangular shaped base, impressed pottery mark 'Boulogne', impressed signatures 'Andre Fau' and 'M.Guiraud-Rivere', stamped 'Made in France' (damage to one finger) 26 1/2in. (67.3cm.) high
