of footed cylindrical form with gently everted rim, the clear glass overlaid in aqua-blue, acid-etched with design of geometric motifs, against a textured ground, etched mark Daum Nancy France incorporating the Cross of Lorraine (minor flaw to baserim) 11in. (28cm.) high

The Pre-World War 1 floral and scenic etched designs on Daum pieces were superseded in the Art Deco period by work often characterised by etched or sand-blasted geometric patterns that created an interesting contrast of smooth and rough surfaces
