A Chinese hanging scroll with two separately mounted fan paintings, one with a calligraphic inscription in ink on gold leaf paper, the other with several scholars reading, writing and in conversation on the bank of a small stream before a pavilion in a rocky, pine-strewn landscape -- each 20¼in. (51.4cms) wide, 19th Century; and a further scroll with three mounted fan paintings in ink and colour on silk and paper depicting mountainous river landscape scenes of butterflies in flight above flowers -- the fans 20½in. (52cms) wide max, signed and sealed. (2)
