Shaped rectangular, the borders chased with entwined laurel and flowerheads between, with dentilated rims, the shaped pediment with ropetwist scrolls, beads and flowerheads with a central palmette above, the base border engraved A devocion de Juana Ferrufino, now fitted with a mirror, apparently unmarked--27 1/8in. (68.9cm.) high

Compartments of foliage divided by stylized ropetwist borders are characteristic of silverwork made in Santafe de Bogota at the end of the 18th century.
