Each shown standing on a spreading painted wood base with arms in a graceful gesture and wearing an unusual over-robe gathered in bows at the knees and overlaid with a cape and apron reversed on each figure in either feathers or 'embroidered' textile, one with a sprig of lingzhi fungus slung over her shoulder, the other with a sprig hung from her belt, the ivory faces delicately carved
