Early Tang Dynasty
Each ochre-glazed horse standing foursquare on a rectangular base, each rider seated astride an unglazed saddle blanket holding a bow, with a scabbard on his thigh, each smiling broadly and with painted black cap closely fitted and tied at the forehead, traces of orange, red and black pigment
