cover 1866 (27 June) entire letter from Singapore to Shanghai, bearing 1856 8a. carmine bisected diagonally tied by firm's chop and "B/172" obliterator, showing red crayon "4" with, on reverse, "SINGAPORE/P.O." c.d.s. in red and Hong Kong transit c.d.s. (4.7). A major rarity being one of only two recorded 8a. bisects on cover in private hands. A great exhibition item. B.P.A. Certificate (1984). Photo
