A MATCHED GROUP OF FOUR SPANISH BAROQUE ARMCHAIRS
Late 16th/Early 17th century with replacements
Each with rectangular back and seat, two covered with red velvet centered with coats-of-arms, one with green velvet, and one with red silk damask centered with a scrolled panel, each with large brass nails and fringe, on square legs joined by stretchers, each front stretcher blind-fretwork carved, two pierced, each chair bearing a paper label Loaned by/Albert Kahn (4)

Specialist note

One chair bears the arms of the Cordoba-Pacheco family, perhaps for Francisco Pacheco de Cordoba, knight of Santiago in 1609; the other bears those of the Basque family Aguileta.
