The rectangular inro of oval section decorated in gold, silver, and red takamaki-e on a gold ground applied with nashiji with a Dutchman walking a small dog beside a river while his attendant shades him with a parasol, the riverbank with details in togidashi and kimpun and the rocks in kirigane, the reverse with a second Dutchman and small dog, his pantaloons decorated with geometric patterns, the interior in nashiji; fitted with an ivory netsuke of a seated immortal
