The deep, rectangular box with slightly domed cover fitted with a removable tray and one drawer, lacquered on the exterior in gold takamaki-e, hiramaki-e and okibirame on a roiro and nashiji ground with rocks and clusters of chrysanthemums and autumn grasses, with drops of dew inlaid in silver, mounted with reticulated copper ring fittings and drawer pull cast as reticulated chrysanthemum florets, fundame rims, the interior and base nashiji
