A Damascan walnut, mahogany and mother-of-pearl marquetry inlaid games-table
Second half 19th Century
The rectangular hinged top inlaid with a large lozenge centring on various star-motifs, surrounded by various inlaid and chequerbanded panels, enclosing a hinged green baize playing-surface, surrounded by chequerbanded panels, opening to a backgammon board and a chessboard to the reverse, the panelled frieze with a small drawer to both sides, on canted square shaped legs joined by an X-shaped stretcher
