A FAMILLE ROSE MANDARIN-PATTERN PUNCHBOWL
circa 1770
Enamelled on the exterior with two large shaped cartouches depicting figures at leisure on rocky terraces, accompanied by dogs, with a mountainous riverscape as a back-drop, divided by two smaller cartouches, one similarly enamelled and the other with a farmer hoeing his land beside an ox, all reserved on a gilt, iron-red and grisaille Y-pattern ground, the interior with a bouquet of flowers below bamboo and fruiting and flowering foliage beneath cell-pattern at the rim
