On navigation, Arabic manuscript on yellow water-marked paper, 14ff. with 38ll. of tiny black naskh, occasional words and phrases in red, final folio with colophon signed 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad al-Ma'qali al-Sa'di in a port called Julfa (?), Oman and dated 5 Ramadhan 1133, generally clean condition, in later dark red morocco binding
Folio 6.5/8 x 4½in. (16.5 x 11.4cm.)

As well as navigation, this work covers the nature of the ports of the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean, such as Oman, Sindh, Kokan, Malabar, Bengal, Hormuz and Sudan.
The colophon states that this copy was made from the author's original at the port of Julfa (?) in Oman.
